The 32st annual Long Island Miniature Model Show sponsored by the Long Island Historical Miniature Society. Features a display and competition of well over 500 historical and fantasy miniatures and models, including some of the best work in the Eastern US, and covers a wide array of models including Plastics, sci-fi, horror and toy soldiers and minis. The competition includes categories for all skill levels, from Master Modelers to General to Novice categories, as well as a Juniors category. The Long Island show prides itself in catering to the general modelers and a very friendly atmosphere can be enjoyed by all levels of skill. This year our special guest will be Bill Horan, who will share his skills and knowledge for all at this show. This is a great chance to meet the preeminent maker of Military Miniatures in the world today.
In addition to the Historical and Fantasy Miniature Figure and diorama categories, there are categories for armor, aircraft, ships and Sci Fi models. It includes one of the largest vendor areas in the Northeast for a figure model show, providing all sorts of models, supplies, toy and collectable soldiers, plastic kits and flats. Also of note is a figure auction with Military Miniatures from World Master figure painters.
