Many modelers rely on Tamiya masking tape whenever they need to create multi-color schemes. The thin tape has just enough tackiness that it can be safely applied to and removed from most surfaces. It helps that Tamiya has thoughtfully made the tape available in 6, 10, and 18mm widths. These are available either in special dispensers or as refills which I’ve discovered can easily be loaded in a standard tape dispenser available from any office supply store. The dispenser I have is wide enough to accommodate either one of the widest or two of the thinner rolls.
