In late July 2015, more than 800 modelers gathered in Columbus, Ohio, for the IPMS/USA National Convention. They brought along more than 2,700 models and FSM Editor Mark Savage and Senior Editor Aaron Skinner shot hundred of photos. Here are a few of them we didn't have room for in the December 2015 issue or the Ultimate Guide to Finishing. Also enjoy a video Mark and Aaron shot during their travels!

David Hogue, The Woodlands, Texas

David modeled the heavy cruiser HMS Norfolk sailing through terrible conditions while on convoy escort near the Arctic Circle during World War II. Some poorly formed parts in the resin 1/350 scale kit from Iron Shipwrights needed to be rebuilt, and David added some details from White Ensign Models and L'Arsenal. He painted with WEM Colourcoats enamels using paper masks for the camouflage. Celluclay painted with enamels and artist's oils produced the angry sea.
