Starting with a Jimmy Flintstone resin body, Scott scratchbuilt the chassis, interior, and dash to model a 1960s Volkswagen Autocross car. He painted the 1/25 scale racer with Tamiya spray-can maroon and black lacquers.

In a preview of the IPMS/USA National Convention, the host club, Mad City Modelers, held its annual show and contest at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday, March 2. The show hit a new record with 575 models on the contest tables entered by builders from across the Upper Midwest. Enjoy this taste of the terrific creations on display!
