Malakai Wheeler built the Revell 1/25 scale Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in just one week for the junior division—dedicated to his grandma, who loves orange Jeeps. He kept the model mostly stock, with the only changes being a set of custom tires and a striking Hugger Orange paint job.

The 12th Annual Stark Scale Model Show on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Tuslaw Middle School in Massillon, Ohio, welcomed 46 contestants and 245 detailed entries, showcasing impressive craftsmanship. A standout feature was this year’s special class, “Bottom of the Car” (or “Bottoms Up”), where models were displayed upside down and judged solely on the chassis—fit, finish, and detail. This unique class drew 11 entries. The 2025 theme class celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Ford Thunderbird, featuring 19 exceptional T-Bird models that captured the spirit of the iconic car. Stark remains Ohio’s only model show to offer both Judges Awards and People’s Choice Awards across all 19 classes—giving every builder a chance to be recognized. Enjoy the highlights in this gallery.
