Bob Gagne started with an Ertl 1/25 scale Paystar 5000 dump truck, which he converted into a semi truck tractor, installed a headache rack, custom dual exhaust stacks, and full rear fenders. It took him a month to build, and Bob finished with spray paints delivered directly from the cans.

Lawrence, Massachusets, once again hosted the Classic Plastic Model Club’s model car exhibition on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025 at the Lawrence Elks Hall. Modelers entered scale models in 30 categories, including Gundam. That’s right, Gundam at a model car show! What a great way to show the club’s commitment to outreach, inclusivity, and helping the hobby grow. Classic Plastic continues to hit solid numbers with 335 models on the contest tables.
