“When the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) visited Sydney, Australia, in September 1964, I made sure to visit and take pictures — I still have those black-and-white prints,” says Michael. “Since then, I’ve been fascinated by these floating cities.

Tamiya’s 1/350 scale kit offered the best possible base for building what I believe is the epitome of an aircraft carrier ­— at sea, with a deck full of aircraft above and in the hangar below, and lots of crew performing lots of tasks. A ship full of action!”
