Bryan says he ran into some trouble building this 1/72 scale Photo Reconnaissance (PR) Spitfire Mk.X from Special Hobby. He says it felt like a throwback to another era of modeling. “But I wanted to do the PRU pink, so this was the one,” he says. “It required lots of putty and sanding and forget about the landing gear — that’s why it’s a wheels-up model. I like the color because the pink shows off the wash in the panel lines well.” The pilot is from an Airfix Dakota and the paint is a Vallejo Model Air set specifically for RAF Day Fighters 1941-1945 and PRU set. One high point was that the kit came with good quality decals.
