Brian Peck, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Brian added custom turnbuckles and rigging to Wingnut Wings 1/32 scale Albatros D.Va. The biplane was painted with Tamiya spray-can lacquers and acrylics, the lightly weathered with artist’s oils to represent a fighter flown by Michael Sigmann with Jasta 78b in April 1918.

In June 2016, Squadron hosted the 25th annual EagleQuest model contest and get together in Grapevine, Texas. The event included seminars, warehouse shopping, and a peer-judged contest featuring 311 models across every genre from 116 entrants. FSM senior editor Aaron Skinner jetted to Dallas for the event and took a bunch of photos. We couldn’t fit them all in the magazine, so enjoy these extras.
