Andy Caldwell from Rockledge, Florida, built this Starter 43 scale 1964 Ferrari 275 P. It features vacuum-formed glass and replicates the 1964 Le Mans winning car.

The 28th and final GSL was held in Salt Lake City, Utah, May 4-7, 2023. Modelers from around the world showed up to celebrate the last contest, delivering a whopping 726 scale auto models to the tables. Beyond the contest hall, modelers could participate in seminars, visit the International Model Car Builders’ Museum, visit the tradeshow on Saturday, and attend the awards breakfast Sunday morning. Some modelers called it the model car builder’s Woodstock—never to be replicated or forgotten. Here are some of the top models we saw at the show.
