Larry Litoborski replaced the wheels and tires of his Fernando Pinto Portugal 1/24 scale Mercedes-Benz 300SL and added “buzzard bars.” He primed the car with white Alclad primer and painted it with MCW lacquer to model it as the winner of the 1952 Carrera Panamericana.

Daniel Hollingsworth replicated a friend’s first new Mustang using an AMT 1/16 scale 1965 Ford Mustang kit. He scratchbuilt the air cleaner details, hoses, fuel line, and plug wires, then painted the car with Tamiya Maroon.

Hugo Garcia built “Grandpa’s 1939 Ford Tow Truck” from ICM, MiniArt, and scratchbuilt 1/35 scale parts. He converted a World War II German truck to an American tow truck, added a scratchbuilt toolbox, rack, lights, tow, and accessories. Hugo made a base from wood, Celluclay, and grass, and weathered the tow truck with washes, dirt, and grime.

This Monogram 1/24 scale 1969 Dodge Super Bee by Justin Hart is dedicated “to the memory of Mitchell Ray from Insomnia Hobbies.” He wired and plumbed the engine, added a custom battery, custom-designed and 3D-printed valve covers and air cleaners, scratchbuilt antenna, 3D-printed seats, and skull shifter. Justin primed it with galaxy gray base and painted it with House of Kolor Organic Green.

Jim Alexander Testors 1/25 scale Aluma-Coupe by Boyd features a Tamiya Yellow lacquer finish and opened-up air vents. Topped with clear, Jim said it represents “just a cool car” that he wishes he owned.

Jeff Brown started with an AMT 1/25 scale 1953 Ford F-100 pickup, stretched the frame, smoothed the body, 3D-printed the wheels, and added lights and a twin-turbo Mercedes engine. He used Tamiya spray cans for the finish, including a silver base and Tamiya Mica Blue. A “big fan of mutant-style builds,” Jeff “wanted to do a fusion of modern AMG vehicles mixed with a classic truck.”
