Howard Quednau imagined an unrestored “barn find” when he built and finished an Italeri 1/12 scale Bugatti Type 35B. He used heavy thread, painted red, to simulate ignition wires and painted the numbers on the sides with stencils instead of using the kit decals. The body color is a custom mix of Tamiya Flat White and Light Blue acrylic over Tamiya French Blue lacquer.

NNL North moved into the Veterans Memorial Community Center in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, on Saturday, May 18, 2025, and the new venue was a hit. A non-judged show, the event attracted modelers from across the Midwest, and had a table full of entries for the Juniors category–some of which you’ll see in the gallery.
