NNL West was held Jan. 21, 2023, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in the heart of Silicon Valley in Northern California. The annual, one-day show drew over 300 modelers through the doors, where nearly 800 cars, trucks, and motorcycles were displayed. This year’s themes were the 100th Anniversary of the Ford 1923 “T” and 3D-printed cars. There were great examples of both throughout the hall. For the first time in NNL history, two women took home the coveted People’s Choice awards: Izabella Mattox won the Youth People’s Choice for the second year in a row, and Kristen Aslanian took home the Adult People’s Choice award.

The swap meet held in the other half of the convention center saw big crowds all day long. Vendors from all over the country came to sell at this event, providing great deals on old and new kits, plus some of the best aftermarket parts around. Pre-built kits seemed to be especially popular this year. A lot of glue bombs went home for restoration so they could be brought back and displayed at NNL West next year!
