This was one of 10 dioramas he built which represented a fascinating time at the end of the war when smashed and abandoned German war machines littered the battlefield.
"Examining these mangled steel wrecks can really bring home the destructive nature of war," Dan says. "Sure, a German Tiger looks cool with its huge 88mm gun. But what does it look like after being struck by a 150mm round?”
