After six hours of masking, I was finally able to airbrush the hull stripes with Tamiya flat blue (XF-8) as called out in the instructions. After a few touchups, I masked and sprayed the upper surfaces with Tamiya olive green (XF-58); I like how it looks compared to the darker green called out but the instructions. Prior to masking I made sure to wash the model with soap and water —  it does float, in case you’re interested!
