Michael’s MikroMir 1/144 scale German Type UB I submarine sits proudly displayed atop a laminated quilted maple and purpleheart wood base. He added oil-canning along the sides, opened the flood ports, added various brass and styrene details, and designed and 3D-printed the conning tower. Michael pre-shaded and painted the sub with Mission Models colors and hand-painted its ensign.
