To focus his vignette of a German soldier in Italy in summer 1944, Roger detailed a Tamiya 1/35 scale Simca 5 by opening the side vent, dressing up the dashboard, and scratchbuilding apples and vegetables for the cargo. He painted the camouflage with Vallejo acrylics and weathered with Citadel ink washes and Mig Productions pigments. In addition to Woodland Scenics and Vallejo Game Color groundwork, the base includes a wall made from balsa foam.
