A pair of Dodge Darts rest (rust) in peace in Tim Brown’s Darts in the Backyard diorama. He used a pair of Revell 1/25 scale kits for the cars, opened the trunk on one, and added a milk crate, chain, and other detritus one might find in an old, forgotten car. Tim recycled an old award for the diorama base, hand-punched more than 1,000 leaves for the scene, and employed AK Interactive pigments and Ammo washes for weathering. The salt and hair-spray techniques scratched away and chipped faded paint on the cars and sheet-metal fence.
