Richard Petty’s No. 43 Plymouth blew the doors off the 1967 NASCAR season with a record-setting campaign of 27 wins—10 of those in a row. Torben Rothgeb removed the emblems and widened the wheel openings of a stock Revell/Monogram 1/25 scale kit to get the look of “The King’s” ride. He detailed with parts from other kits, sprayed the body with TruMatch paint, and marked it with Slixx decals. Torben made the head and taillight covers from an aluminum soda can.
