Military Miniature Society of Illinois 2022 Contest

Historical, sci-fi, and fantasy figures, vehicles, and dioramas filled the tables at the Midwest’s longest-running miniatures contest
The Chicago Marriott in Schaumburg, Illinois, once again played host to the 47th annual Military Miniature Society of Illinois contest on Saturday, October 22. As always, hundreds of beautifully painted historical miniatures—from the Middle Ages to the modern era—dioramas, and scale model vehicles loaded the tables. The sci-fi and fantasy offerings continued to astound, too. Take a look at the gallery below for a taste of the artistry on display.
Tony Stencel
Long Grove, Illinois
A combination of Reaper, Scale 75, and Jo Sonja acrylics, along with Humbrol metallic enamels helped Tony finish this Pegaso 54mm Berdan Sharpshooter. He modified the base with Green Stuff and added grass and texture with Vallejo terrain products.
