Hope It Don’t Snow 2024 show and contest photo gallery

A feast for the eyes from this year’s Spartanburg contest
Once again, the South Carolina Modelers Association held its annual Hope It Don’t Snow model show and contest in Spartanburg on Jan. 20, 2024. This year’s theme was “animals,” meaning any vehicle with the name of an animal—you know, a hornet, viper, tomcat, mustang, panther, wasp, etc. Well, there definitely wasn’t a dearth of models at the show, so let’s get to it!
Junior Builder Evan Tate’s AMT 1/25 scale 1934 Ford modified stock car featured Tamiya Light Metallic Blue paint with customized kit decals. According to Evan, the most challenging part of this 10-hour build was getting the heads matched to the engine and square with the body.
