Masking aircraft canopies can make or break a model. After trying different methods and materials, I’ve settled on clear contact paper – the kind used for covering books – as the perfect tool. I cut off the amount needed for each section of the canopy, peel away the backing, and stick it in place. Then, I carefully cut around the canopy frame (easy to do with the clear material) and ensure no edges are sticking up. Once the canopy is painted, I lift the edge and peel it off.
