In the March 2008 FineScale Modeler, a reader asked how to remove super glue fogging from clear parts. Associate Editor Mark Hembree cited a reader who buffs out blemishes with rubbing alcohol. I haven’t tried that, but I have used toothpaste – the regular paste, not a gel – and it also works well. I put a small dot on a cotton swab and rub it over the fogged area. Then I rinse the part in water and give it a final polish with a dry piece of old T-shirt.
