Fingerprints can ruin a beautiful finish on a model. I usually have several pairs of white gloves around, but I get tired of putting them on and taking them off during the touch-up phase. Instead, I cut 1″- or 2″-wide strips of flannel and wrap them around frequently handled areas (such as wings). Secure the strip by wrapping masking tape around the flannel.
