I have a tip for modelers like myself who need just a little help locating lost parts. (I have searched and searched for parts on my workbench and floor and never found them.) I work in my garage and I have painted a white square on the concrete floor around my bench, and I use a white floor tile as a work surface.

The best part about the latter, a smooth 18″ square floor tile, is that I can write on it, put glue on it, mix epoxy glue, and even paint on it. When I’m done, I clean it with acetone and start all over again.

And yes, my workbench is pink. It is an old door that just seemed to fit perfectly in the garage, and it was free!
