Applying Zimmerit can be difficult for a lot of modelers, but I found a painless tool in a bottle of aspirin — or the lid thereof. The grooves around the outside of the lid make a good pattern in soft material and can be cut to reach tight spots. If the indentations clog, clean them with a razor saw.
