I’ve suggested using Liquid Paper correction tape as a gap filler before. But I’ve found a way to improve its use.
Using the dispenser, gently roll the tape over the gap with just enough pressure to make the tape adhere to the model. Now, apply masking tape overlapping the strip of correction tape about 1⁄16″ on either side of the gap.
Burnish the correction tape down between the masking tape strips; the end of a small paintbrush handle works well for this. Then, using a sharp No. 11 blade, lightly score the correction tape along the inside edges of the masking tape.
Gently peel off the masking tape and you’ll be left with a very thin, neat strip of correction tape over the gap — no sanding or rescribing necessary. I use this mostly for gaps on wings-to-fuselage and fuselage halves. It takes practice, but it works well.
