Are you tired of feeding the carpet monster? An old, oversize, button-down shirt makes a handy work apron. Originally, I draped it across my lap with the collar tucked against my waist, but I’ve found a string or belt threaded through the button-down collar helps if you get up often. Small parts land in my lap, and the long sleeves are good for cleaning brushes. It looks a bit silly, but so does crawling around on the floor with a mini-vacuum and flashlight.
