In the “Questions & Answers” column of the December 2007 FineScale Modeler, Cody Riley mentioned he ordered a pinvise that didn’t come with any pins or bits. Here’s another source: Go to a store that carries welding supplies and get a tip cleaner. It looks like a pinvise and comes with a bunch of small bits for cleaning cutting-torch and brazing tips. Mine cost about $13. Some of the bits are very tiny, perfect for drilling small holes. They also sell a different type of tip cleaner comprising many small, round files. These are great for cleaning drilled holes and making gun barrels round.
