Further to Mike Hayfield’s tip in the July 2010 FSM about elastic tourniquets as modeling clamps: Try cohesive bandages. This stretchy bandage sticks to itself, so clamps or rubber bands aren’t required. A few tight wraps and the model can be left to dry. Look for cohesive bandage or Coban in the first-aid section of supermarkets and drug stores.
