Smoothing out the Future

If you want your acrylic paints to spray smoothly and evenly through an airbrush, try this: Mix about 40-50 percent Pledge Future floor polish with acrylic paint. Then add several drops of Winsor & Newton Flow Improver and distilled water. Stir well and spray away. The flow improver lets your airbrush process the acrylic paint without spitting or skipping, which means it can produce some very fine lines. When dry, the finish will be a very smooth semigloss ready for decals or washes. The more Future you add, the glossier the finish will be. This technique works with modeling acrylics as well as inexpensive craft paints.
