Tape-strip canopy frames

I have always had trouble masking cockpit canopies. I’ve tried liquid masking agents, Bare-Metal Foil, and small pieces of masking tape. So, I’ve returned to an old standby from my early modeling days. Simply apply frosted Scotch tape to a piece of glass. Then spray a light coat of the interior color, followed by the top color. Using a new blade, I cut the tape into thin strips and apply it to the canopy. Quick and easy — it’s an old technique that works!
