I saw the recent tip about using a straightened paperclip as a paint stirring tool. I have used the wire hangers dry cleaners use for pants, the ones with the cardboard tube; they’re pretty much useless when the cardboard tube is bent. I cut a 3″ segment of wire from one end and bend it into a reverse-S. A slight bend in the shaft and it, too, can be twirled between the finger and thumb to stir paints, even when the solvent has become a gooey, gelatinous mass at the bottom of the jar. Bent, it works well in larger jars, such as those used by Tamiya or Model Master. If left straight, it can be coaxed into the Testors square bottle (especially hard to stir paint in).
