Most of us know it can be difficult to cut small, clear wingtip lights off the sprue. They often go flying, never to be found. Fitting them can be just as difficult.
I replaced them on a 1/32 scale P-38 with Gorilla impact-resistant super glue; any thick super glue should work. I squeezed a few drops of glue onto aluminum foil. Using the tip of a knife, I picked up a bead of glue and let it run into the small hole for the lens. It formed a near perfect dome, dried clear, and there was little or no shrinkage. I’ve found it may require a couple of applications to get right.
