Sometimes tail surfaces are slightly undersized and don’t square with the tail fin, 1. My solution is to use a small brass pin to connect both tail surfaces and keep them level. Drill two holes in each tail surface (make sure that they line up) and connect the pieces with a brass pin, cut to fit. The pin will keep both surfaces on the same plane, 2. Place one of the tail surfaces into its slot, making sure the brass pin is threaded through the fuselage, 3. Then place the other tail surface. You’ll have a nicely aligned, square tail, 4.
