I have found a way to make the barrels in the turrets of the main guns on 1/700 scale ships posable. I cut a piece of Parafilm M as wide as the cavity on the bottom of each turret and 1 1/2″ to 2″ inches long. I stretch the film until it is tacky, then push the barrels through the film with the horizontal axis of the barrels perpendicular to the long side of the film. After rolling the film to the base of the barrels, I fold the excess around the base. Then I insert the barrels in the turret. If the fit is too tight, I remove a little of the film. If the fit is right, I can set the elevation of the barrels at various angles and the film will hold it in place.
