I am constantly surprised that modelers use lead to weight their kits. Try steel. It is 5/7 as heavy as lead, which is more than adequate for most applications. Small-gauge steel shotgun pellets should be easily available at any gun shop. They will fit almost any space and settle nicely into a puddle of white glue to make a custom-shaped weight. Best of all, they won’t poison you, your family, your visitors, your neighbors, the garbage men, the environment — it’s a no-brainer.
