One of my favorite things to do when building my models is to use real wire in cockpits, engines, for brake lines, etc. This usually takes some pretty small-diameter wire. I have found a great source for this stuff. Look for lead wire at fishing supply stores (I found it at a Bass Pro Shop). Used for fly fishing, lead wire is available in diameters from .010″ to .035″. This wire is perfect for detailing engines — it is very pliable and looks much more realistic than molded-in wires or no wires at all.
