Spill-free cement station

FSM-RT0212_30

After a few frustrating liquid glue spills, I put together an inexpensive but secure cement-bottle holder. I picked up a cheap plastic storage container that measures 5″ x 8″ and about 1″ deep. The important thing is that the lid be secure — a loose lid can defeat the purpose of this suggestion.

I use two types of liquid adhesives — thick and thin — so I cut two openings to fit the bottles. Having both types of cement in this holder is convenient. I drilled two holes to hold the brushes I use for the cement. Labels identify the adhesives. Finally, I filled the bottom of the container with sand for greater stability.

Now, I don’t have to worry about spilled adhesives or even holding a bottle to remove the cover.
