Instead of buying powdered pigments, I make my own using acrylic and artist’s oil paints. I coat a piece of duct tape — to which paint doesn’t adhere very well — alternating between paint types and colors. When it’s dry, the paint easily peels off of the tape. Then I grind it with a mortar and pestle and it’s finished.
