A model contest I attended recently had a category for “Modeling the Movies.” Being an F-14 Tomcat fan, I immediately decided to build a jet from the 1986 movie “Top Gun.” It would be a fitting tribute, since 2006 not only marks the 20th anniversary of the movie but also the end of active service for the Tomcat.
