Revell Germany 1/24 scale Schlingman LF 20/16 firetruck
Revell Germany’s 1/24 scale kit represents a German firetruck with a body by Schlingman and a cab by Mercedes-Benz. Everything fits with almost snap-kit efficiency. Some parts didn’t even need glue. The transparent pieces are nearly perfect and afford a great view of the interior.

HobbyBoss’ Yak-38 “Forger” is the first plastic model kit of it’s kind in 1/48 scale. It comprises 160 cleanly molded parts and a nice decal sheet with markings for three aircraft. Instructions consist of 15 clear, concise steps. Several build options are included.

HobbyBoss 1/48 scale F3H-2 Demon
HobbyBoss captures the F3H-2 Demon in fantastic detail with it’s new 1/48 scale kit. The wings can be folded, and all of the control surfaces are molded separately. The wheel wells are nicely detailed, and the engine exhaust duct and nozzle are impressive.

Pegasus 1/144 “War of the Worlds” Alien Tripod
Molded in light gray plastic, Pegasus Hobbies’ 1/144 scale Alien Tripod is based on the CGI illustrations from the 2005 movie. The parts represent the vehicle very well, with a mix of fine and deep engraved panel lines.

Eduard 1/144 “Dual Combo” MiG-21MF
Eduard’s new 1/144 scale MiG-21MF kit includes two models with canopy masks and decals for eight options. The detail and molding finesse on these kits is excellent, with nice wheel bays and cockpit detail.

Aoshima’s 1/24 scale London Black Cab model kit represents an Austin FX4 from 1948-1959. The body is a single, nicely molded piece, and the wheels and tires look good.

Great Wall Hobby 1/48 scale Northrop P-61A
Great Wall Hobby’s 1/48 scale Northrop P-61A “Black Widow” is the first P-61 in this scale since Monogram’s release back in 1974. The model consists of gray plastic parts on 14 sprues, photoetched metal, and a choice of two sets of markings.
