Sometimes finding a way to hold a model while painting and decaling can be a real problem. What I have found helpful is sockets from your toolbox. They come in various sizes and are easy to fasten with masking tape. A short extension makes a great handle. Here I used a 1/4" drive socket – but a 3/8" drive could be used, too.
