Raised lettering on model tires

If you are searching for a solution to making tire lettering, wheel designs, knockoffs, or maybe an old hubcap, try this: Find a photo of exactly what you want, convert it to black and white, size it to scale, and take it to your local stamp shop (business stamps, date stamps, etc.) They will make a nice rubber stamp from which you can make a reusable mold and castings. I use Amazing Casting Resin (available at hobby shops), and it is a very quick turnaround — less than 45 minutes from start to finish. Once you have the stamp, you can brand as many tires as you want. And if you don’t want the lettering to be raised, you can skip the resin casting and simply use the rubber stamp.
