This Hasegawa 1/32 scale Jaguar SS100 comes from Larry, who detailed the engine and dash. He airbrushed the body with Alclad II Gray Primer and went over it with four coats of Tamiya British Green. Inside is Zero Paints Interior Beige.
Mike Stucker
Sugar Land, Texas
Mike created his “Mune Buggy” by kitbashing an Italeri 1/35 M20 Scout with parts from his spares box to make a 1/24 scale vehicle. He added figures from Fujimi and Zlpla and lights from Belkits Skoda Fabia. He primed the car with Tamiya paint, spray-painted it with Testors lacquer, and brush-painted the figures with acrylics. He made the base from foam covered with Vallejo Earth Texture on a wooden plaque.
David Green

David’s racecar hauler has parts from an AMT 1/25 scale Chevy Titan and a Ford LN 8000 bed. He opened the toolbox doors, built boxes inside the lower toolboxes, and added trim. To finish it off, he primed the hauler with white and painted it with Tamiya lacquers.

Hugo made this 1/24 scale 1920s Mack tow truck from scratchbuilt and Monogram parts. He painted with enamels, including Model Master Metalizers, and weathered with brown wash, rust, and pastel chalks. Hugo made the base from wood and real pebbles for the groundwork.

A Revell 1/25 scale 1941 Willys street rod got a makeover from Wes, including a wired and plumbed motor, Fireball Modelworks carbs, machined pulleys, and Z-Force wheels. He shaved the front end and molded headlights before topping his Willys with House of Kolor Majik Blue Pearl and clear urethane. Wes says the “ ’41 Willys kits lend themselves to so many variations to be built.”
Daniel Hollingsworth

Daniel built the Moebius 1/25 scale Tim Flock’s 1956 Chrysler 300, adding plug wires, fuel lines, and valve stems to the wheels. He spray-painted Tamiya Gloss White and added light washes to the engine and undercarriage to model something that represents “the early days of stock car racing.”
Aaron Robinson

Aaron opened the hood, scratchbuilt the roll cage, and added fuel lines to his dealer promo 1/25 scale 1973 Olds Cutlass. He used a Morgan Automotive Details distributor and replaced the chassis with one from an AMT ’69 Cutlass kit. Aaron sprayed Tamiya Bright Red, Pure White, and Yellow before a coat of Testors Wet Look Clear for an eye-catching finish.

This is Justin’s Revell 1/25 scale 1969 Yenko Nova made with a C1 restomod transkit. He wired and plumbed the engine and added 3D-printed wheels, mirrors, and air cleaner. Justin primed with black Mr. Surfacer 1500, sprayed a gray base coat, and finished with House of Kolor Apple Red and Gravity Spain 2K gloss clear.

Inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Dedrick entered his 3D-printed 1/12 scale chopper for the show’s tie-dye theme. He added custom headlights and taillights and painted the bike with a jet-black base under four chameleon paints.

Jerry built his AMT 1/25 scale International Harvester Transtar box stock. He painted it using Krylon and Testors paints from spray cans.

Curtis lowered the front suspension on his Revell 1/25 scale 1968 Volkswagen Beetle convertible. He added 3D-printed front tires and a dual-carb motor. To get that smooth finish, Curtis alternated between painting and wet sanding before polishing the Beetle with Meguiars Cleaner Wax.

Built box stock, Gary tabled an Aoshima 1/24 scale LB Works Lamborghini Huracan. He primed and topped off his model with Scale Finishes paint.

Chris went to town to make his 1/25 scale 1950 Chevy 3100! Starting with an AMT kit, he installed 4x4 drive axles and powered it with a wired Oldsmobile Rocket V8. Chris added a winch and woodgrain to the floor of the truck bed. He primed with Rust-Oleum, painted with Testors One-Coat lacquers, and finished with Rust-Oleum Clear.

A classic choice, Jim blasted bullet holes all over the body of his Monogram 1/25 scale Rommel’s Rod. He primed the model with Tamiya Silver and went over it with lacquers and washes to make the model he wanted as a child.

Stephen built his Testors (Italeri) 1/24 scale 1962 Ferrari GTO mostly out of the box, replacing the tires and wheels with ones from the Fujimi Enthusiast Series Ferrari model. He painted it Tamiya Italian Red lacquer from a spray can over polished plastic.

Not only did Bruce replace the bed on his AMT 1/25 scale ’53 Ford pickup, but he also notched the fender and added the rack for the spare tire. He painted with acrylics weathered with washes and pigments. Chris says he wanted to model an old service truck, and we say he nailed it!
