Aaron, didn't Trumpeter also release a GAZ Tiger a few years back? The version with the auto-cannon in the turret?

I believe it was at the Sprue Brothers site that I saw a kit of a Meteor in Israeli service. That might interest Ned.
I was disappointed to read that the Meteor had a dismal service record and way too many pilots died due to equipment failures. Just because it was the first allied jet fighter didn't make it a good plane.
Elizabeth, I love your performances and the way your eyes really connect with the camera. But the MiG?!!
I would be happy to adopt some of those poor abused models that are penned up in your crowded storage closet.
If I cannot get to them, I'm sure some active duty servicemen would be happy to help out.

Elizabeth really, when you dropped the mig I thought I would have a heart attack. Very effective way to get my attention!

Aaron and Elizabeth - after watching your review, I may seriously have to get the Gloster Meteor kit - I generally don't build "modern" jets (Vietnam to present), but I do love those in the transition era (WW-II through Korea), and the uglier the better (which explains my unrequited love affair with the Douglas F3D Skyknight, a more butt-ugly plane cannot be found). While there are all kinds of after-market goodies already, the kit looks complete without them. I do want some Israeli decals, though ... any word on them?

You guys remain completely, gloriously whackadoodle ... and I mean that sincerely. However, it grieves me to see the BiG MiG smashed to smithereens, but I'm sure it went in a good cause. As for your warehouse of opened and partially-built kits, I'll be glad to adopt any of those kits needing a loving home and a (semi)-skilled builder.

Great review. Love the commercial whose mig was destroyed? How did you get footage of my model vault? did my wife let you in?;-),

Lock her up! Lock her up! Elizabeth should be arrested for model abuse for smashing that poor defenseless Mig.

I am so ashamed. I confess I am one of those callous, unfeeling cads who have cooped up dozens of kits which have had little attention. Most have not even had a taste of paint or glue and all are crammed into an average sized built in wardrobe where they languish while hoping to be built and displayed. I hereby resolve to doing all I can to give their pitiful existences meaning (hopefully I will live long enough, if not I have left instructions for them to be found good homes).

Ok, how about a 72nd C-141 in injection molded plastic, anyone?

Did like the poster on the wall of the test issue. Still have that one in the library.

Aaron, you might want to wait on the Aussie Meteor. If you check the wings I hear that there are spots to drill out for the underwing rocket load. Sounds like Airfix is planning to release that version at a later time.

The "save the models" commercial was truly touching, and brought a tear to my eye. The world must work harder to free those lonely kits from their confines!
