Boeing F-15EX Eagle II walkaround

Detailed F-15EX Eagle II reference photos for scale modelers from EAA AirVenture
RELATED TOPICS: WALKAROUND | F-15EX EAGLE II | AIRCRAFT
As you can see from the photos, it was tough to get close to the Boeing F-15EX Eagle II on display at this year’s EAA AirVenture, but we managed to get a few images of the latest version of the U.S. multirole strike fighter. A scion of the F-15E and part of the Advanced Eagle aircraft family, the two-seat F-15EX has many improvements over previous incarnations of the airplane including an active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, infrared search and track, Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System, new cockpit and flight controls, and a planned 20,000-hour service life. Officially designated the Eagle II in April 2021, it can carry a payload of up to 12 air-to-air missiles for air superiority missions, or for surgical strikes, it can mount 16 GBU-39s, four AMRAAMs, one JDAM, two HARMs, and two drop tanks. You can see a possible loadout in the photos.
